At the heart of Tuscan Brands is founder Joe Faro — a visionary entrepreneur, passionate chef, and relentless believer in the power of hospitality to bring people together. Joe’s journey began in his family’s kitchen, where he discovered the joy of cooking and the warmth that comes from sharing a meal. That passion led him to launch Joseph’s Gourmet Pasta & Sauces, which grew into one of the largest pasta manufacturers in the country before being sold to Nestlé in 2006.
But Joe’s story was just beginning. Fueled by his love for authentic Italian cuisine and inspired by the idea of creating immersive dining experiences, he opened the first Tuscan Kitchen in Salem, NH in 2010. His vision was simple: to bring true artisan Italian food to life — where everything from the pasta to the pastries was made in-house, by hand, using ingredients sourced directly from Italy.
From that first restaurant, Tuscan Brands has grown into a dynamic hospitality group that includes Tuscan Kitchen, Tuscan Market, Toscana Chophouse, Tuscan Sea Grill, Napoletana Pizzeria, and The Artisan Hotel — each concept rooted in the same core values: authenticity, excellence, and genuine hospitality.

Today, Artisan Events & Catering (formerly Artisan Chef Catering) is the heartbeat of our event division — combining the culinary excellence of our restaurants with full-scale event planning and execution. Whether hosting a wedding under the stars, an executive dinner, or a community gala, our team delivers unforgettable experiences rooted in detail, warmth, and flavor.
